SSU, Honor your Commitment

we would like for our kids to be able to use the gym

Surely a resolution to this situation can be found. The school has been at SSU for many years with a usage agreement in place each previous year.

Access to the SSU library and the physical education programs should be and integral part of the education for the Technology HIgh School students.

Please support this wonderful school and our kids.

Please reinstate the PE privileges for our Tech High students. It is unfair to them to have the plug pulled on this important part of their overall education.

I am the mother of a former and a current Tech High student. We live in R section across from the tennis courts in Rainbow Park. Even though I work full time, I have witness many Tech High PE classes taking place at Rainbow Park. It is sad that these children have to walk off the SSU campus to a small city park for a game of dodge ball when there are wonderful, well maintained, and closer facilities on campus. I am sure a schedule could be worked out between SSU and Tech High for joint use of the athletic fields, tennis courts, pool, gym, and locker rooms. There is obliviously some benefit to SSU for allowing the Tech High to be located at SSU campus. Is there any substantiated liability issues banning Tech High from using the sports facilities at SSU? Is there language in the contact between SSU and the CRPUSD that limits Tech High student access to SSU sports facilities? The situation between SSU and Tech High reminds me of the George Orwell novel, Animal Farm and the abridged single commandment of "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." Just substitute students for animals.

Please let THS students use the SSU facilities for PE now and moving forward!

SSU is very important to our local neighborhood. (We live in the M section) and as the grandmother of a Tech. Hi student and a student myself in the OLLI program, I find dealing with my neighbor's low opinion of SSU is disconcerting at best. Please advise your facility to be more cooperative to the goals of Tech Hi (which is trying gallantly to offer some types of physical education to its students. Tech. Hi. students may; be your future students as well as your future neighbors. thank you, Rosalind Morino

SSU needs to step up. I would think that any institute of higher learning would support the upcoming generation in both their mental and physical wellbeing.

Please allow our highly gifted and talents kids access to facilities needed to fulfill their dreams of the receiving a valuable high school experience/education!

Come on SSU...be proud of what it is the university believes in and demonstrate with a leading example that it supports the undeniable uprising generation next. There is talent at THS and the doors at SSU should be welcoming at minimum. Do not take the talent for granted. We are the present but our children are the future.

SSU needs to honor its contract obligations and recommit to the spirit of cooperation which helped bring Tech High into existence.
