Swansea Council has announced plans to close down its only indoor tennis facility. Swansea Tennis centre is a regional facility with National standard juniors from the City and South West Wales attending. Catering for adults and children of all abilities, the centre also provides a venue for the retired and disabled to meet and exercise. The Council say they can save £50,000 a year by closing the facility. That is less than the Council Leader and Deputy leader will take home as a basic allowance in 2009/10. Please express your opposition to closure by signing the petition today.
