With the tragedies that occur at a now monthly rate in the United States, I believe that there should be a desired push for every educational entity across America to educate their students on the procedures and guidelines in which to follow in the event of an active shooter on campus. I believe these procedures should be enforced by every institute's faculty, for the lack of knowledge of how to engage in an active shooter scenario could prove fatal. Just as plagiarism is mandatory to review in the syllabi of every course, I believe the guidelines and procedures of what to do in an active shooter situation should be mandated as well.
