D-11 has nothing to gain but so much to lose if our SSP employees would lose their non-probationary status for a little hiring and retaining convenience. It will forever be remembered and to regret.

I have been a school counselor in D11 for 19+ years. I chose to work for D11 because our family lives in D11 boundaries and our kids attended D11 schools. I love working with the students and their families, collaborate and work side by side with Palmer staff, and the larger Colorado Springs community. I hope to support and work with D11 students for years to come. Please ensure the security of SSP’s jobs and future in D11.

I thank the members of CSEA for a petition that has been written factually and with feeling. I dare say, the superintendent and school board should calculate the average years SSPs have been in the.district. Additionally, how many do work a 110 day contract after retirement.?
