We, the undersigned, respectfully request the Providence City Council to restrict vehicular access on River Road from Irving Avenue to Richmond Square to through-traffic, providing for emergency vehicle access and limited public parking.

We support this in order to encourage greater use of the riverfront and provide improved public access for the boats, fisherman, photographers, families, bird watchers, bicyclists, school groups and others who want a safer, more pedestrian-friendly environment.
