I live in Oakleaf and my son, his wife and two young grandsons live in Macclenney, FL. That is the only intersection we go through when visiting each other, twice per visit. I agree East-West lanes should have a red light after the green arrow ends, so 8 year olds don't have to lose their life.

This intersection needs turn lights badly! Traveling this route almost daily, I choose to take the long way to get home just to avoid making the turn on to 23 from Argyle. Too many accidents!

While driving west bound through the intersection, I almost collided with a vehicle turning left in front of me. Came within inches.

I'm sure there is a change expected when the construction is finished. But no one should be able to make a turn at this intersection without a green arrow. The visibility is not good enough to turn otherwise and the fatalities are there to prove it. If this will back up the turn lane then you can pass the intersection and make a uturn.
