Squat rack and other important equipment needed in Sabanci Gym

The Sabanci Gym has a lot of things but not the basics. We do not have a squat rack. Heavy squats without the support of any machine are a basic and important exercise.


The gym only has a few 20 kg plates. If a person is doing a benchpress with 40 kilos on a side, no one else can do a deadlift. So we need more 20kg plates or even more. We also need good powerlifting barbells for deadlifts and squats. One cannot just lift the platers themselves.

Another thing that lacks at the gym is a good bench. All the benches do not align straight and are mostly being used. We could fix the current benches or get new ones and an extra one too. We may need a smaller one for exercises like the military press or seated one hand arm extensions.

We need the following equipment to get very important exercises done:
*Squat Rack
*Better benches for additional exercises other than the bench press
*4 more pairs of 20 kg plates
*More barbells that are designed for deadlifts with better grips and length
