We the undersigned believe the gondola proposed by Sea to Sky Gondola Corp. does not serve the public interest and will negatively impact Stawamus Chief Provincial Park.
We call on the government of British Columbia to host an impartial and inclusive public hearing to better understand the potential negative impacts of this project and gather comments from all British Columbians who should have a say in how our provincial parks are managed.
I am currently finalizing the formal request for a public hearing to deliver to the Ministry of Environment. My focus remains on establishing the legal grounds for why this gondola project requires an impartial review process.

Too many places are ruined by commercial development. I like having a remote area close to the city where I can be alone.
I have climbed the Chief many times. It should be left alone.

Nope, not in a million years.
And what was that? 35$ dollars for a lift? You gotta be kidding.
Would still say no even if it was free.

The chief is a sacred place for so many of us in Squamish. Why are they trying to turn nature into another tourist trap? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

My kids grew up hiking these trails. It would be a total shame to see it get all built up like everywhere else. Please stop this.

Seriously? The mountain is fine just the way it is. We dont need more cables over the rock faces. This is just for profit and ruins the view.
