Activision! We want the old Spyro back!

To whom it may concern,

Recently, I've discovered that the love for classic Spyro is overwhelming. I personally know many folks, myself included, are upset by the new direction the IP has taken with Skylanders. I am well aware of the fact that a brand new, modern Spyro is highly unlikely, given the direction the series is taking. However, there is a very strong following that desires a HD remake of older Spyro games. Given the lower cost of developing a HD collection as opposed to a full new game, along with the near-guaranteed sales that would be provided by fans of the older titles, this could not only sate the fans but also be a very profitable venture. Ideally, this HD collection would include the following titles:

- Spyro the Dragon
- Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage
- Spyro: Year of the Dragon

The first three titles in the Spyro series, all developed by Insomniac, are widely regarded as the best games the series has to offer. The first two titles both average a 86.6% on Game Rankings, while the third title averages a 90.6% on Game Rankings and a 91% on Metacritic. According to VGChartz, these three titles have sold a cumulative total of 12.23M units globally. Only counting fans who have played the titles previously, this could indicate as many as 4M units sold! This doesn't even take into consideration the fact that there will be people in the younger generation who may have not even played these classics titles in the past, bringing new Spyro fans to the series.

With that said, I've made this petition in hopes of adding some solid evidence to my numbers. I truly hope this is given strong consideration, and hopefully the Spyro HD Collection will see the light of day.
