I’m so disappointed in SPU for the ways that they continue to uphold policies that harm queer faculty and students. Now it is imperative that these homophobic policies and actions are removed and denounced. I will never donate to SPU because of this.

SPU can do better than this, and they need to recognize the beliefs and values of their student body/alumni is not aligned to their existing policies. Allow faculty to be hired for their value and merit, not disallowed because of how God made them.
