His educational journey should have begun with his parents. Bet they are proud of him now! Should be tried as an adult and be tried as an adult. 1 to 5 years behind bars would be very educational to him.

I think one season he should definitely not be allowed to play. Unfortunately, he made a huge mistake and needs to be punished for this. I don't think a lifetime ban, but a season.

Suspend the kid from school and ban from extra curriculum activities until he does a set number of community volunteer hours with special needs children.

Zero tolerance for this behavior. What if the child abused was your child? The aggressor should not be permitted to participate in anything, especially school related activities.
