Unfortunately bullying will always exist, however when it can be punished, it should be. This is absolutely unacceptable. Kids get away with EVERYTHING these days because they know they can!! Teach this punk a lifelong lesson while he's young, it may keep him out of prison someday.

The video was a pitiful sight. Speaking as a Mother, it would devastate me to see my child be bullied like that and abused in such a manner! Ten days is NOT enough to teach this lesson! Off the football team, no sports activities at all, because those activities should be reserved for students who strive to set good examples. Wasn't there just an incident within the last week at SV involving a team member and another special needs boy??? Sounds as if the school needs some stiffer penalties concerning bullying. With the way the world is these days, what are we gonna do, wait for something worse to happen??? Obviously a problem here...

He deserves more than suspension, & kicked off the football team if u ask me! He should be charged. This happens too often, and if he is not punished appropriately then he will do it again.

No sense in bullying and the kid wasn't even fighting back. It's disturbing and people should pay for their wrong doings and saying sorry is not enough.

Reprehensible and inexcusable conduct. I do not believe expulsion is the correct course, however being permanently barred from after school athletic activities for the rest of his time in high school should be considered. Additionally, counseling should be mandated.

This punk was not a member of the football team last year. That TEAM, a classy bunch of kids, would never have allowed a punk like that on their team......
With pathetic decisions like that, It's easy to understand why the Wayne County BOE is going down the tubes.

If he is just suspended for ten days then he will think that he is beyond punishment for a crime and bullying is a crime. I think he should be took off the team for good and that he should be a poster child for being a bully.If he wants attention and needs to show he is a big man then let him walk around school with a sign that saids I am a big bully.My rant is over.

This is such and awful story and i have seen the video going viral which is horrendous. This young man should not just receive 10 days of suspension for punishment. I would never want someone like that to represent my school so I totally agree with this petition. I hope it goes through and he recieves this punishment. Many prayers for the student who was bullied and the other students wanting justice.

Just like mentioned "when you make poor life choices, there needs to be consequences"!
