This is unacceptable, especially if the boy with special needs was covering himself up out of fear. No one deserves to be treated and made a mockery of in that way. I feel the situation rightly calls for something harsher than a 10 day suspension... most kids in school just see that as a mini-vacation. I'm not sure I feel that kicking the boy off the football team is necessarily the right answer either because I believe each kid should be allowed the opportunity to fulfill their potential in whatever talents they are given, but I see nothing wrong with making him sit out a few games. I think these kids need to attend classes about bullying or attend support groups with adults who were bullied as children and still carry the emotional scars with them. These bullies need to understand that they can forget about the things they have said to others, but for the individual being bullied, there is no forgetting it. The hurtful words from the bully become their inner voice and it haunts them for the rest of their lives.

10 day suspension is not enough. He needs to be expelled. He should also be charged with misdemeanor assault and battery charge. Not sure what the law is for his age but a suspension is not enough. He will come back to school and brag about his actions and probably not have any remorse.

Should be expelled along with anyone else involved. Criminal charges to follow on record and pay for medical bills for getting checked out to make sure ok.

No child should ever have to endure what the victim did. You SVHS will lose MANY supports if this PUNK stays on the team.

I firmly believe he should not be allowed to do anything at the school unless it's cleaning the toilets and scrubbing the floors.

This kid deserves worse than just suspension and possibly being kicked off the foot ball team!

He does not deserve another day of public education, much less the privilege of extra-curriculur endeavors.

He needs to be put in Reform school for what he did to this student.

Bullies are a big problem in child and teen suicide! Also, no child should have to fear coming to school. Every child deserves to feel safe, school should not be one of the places they are afraid of.

I don't believe he should be allowed to participate in ANY school activities at all, whether it be playing sports, attending games or any school function and he should have to publicly appologize to the boy he bullied and that boys parent(s)!! There needs to be consequences for his actions!!!!

I believe bullying of any kind should be treated as a hate crime and the juveniles involved put behind bars.

KADEN should be expelled for the rest of the year, never to be able to play sports again, and why isn't he peing charged with assult, and battery?? and what about the TEACHERS, and the PRINCIPLE of the school, they need to be fired for that young man, and probely others for being treated that way.

I would not want this to happen to anyone I know and love. Especially to anyone with special needs who are not able to defend themselves against bullies or intimidation of any kind.

He should be kicked off the football team entirely, have to attend anger management classes for the balance of this year and next year, and be suspended for the balance of this year but be allowed to repeat the current level next school year if he can keep his anger in check. For the person that filmed the entire event, the same goes for them except the repercussions should be double for he did nothing to stop the event and there fore is twice as guilty at the one throwing the punches.
