My son went to svhs and this is a shame. I fully believe this is something that should be taken very seriously. Not only should there be punishment for this behavior but he should receive some mandated therapy as well.

10 days isn't enough, no football for the rest of high school.

I don't believe that a child that can do that to another child deserves to represent a school.

I think he should have to go to alternative school and not allowed to play any sports

Kids need to be tought a lesson when it comes to this.. Special needs or not the kid should have never done this to ANY other child.... Kids are getting off to east and never learn a lesson and its sad and heart breaking... My heart goes out to the boy and his family...

Their needs to be a law in effect that states..... The parents of these little douchebag, dirtbag, brats will be held accountable just as the kid is. Put them both in jail, fine them both! I mean parents are responsible for all the other things their children do. So why not make them responsible for their kids being thugs! Maybe when parents start going to jail they will start to be actual parents and raise these kids up right. Bet you'd see a lot more discipline and a**whooping at home instead of parents laughing when their kids get into trouble.

Tired of seeing this kind of behavior going unpunished. Punishment should be severe and this kid definitely does not need to be able to pursue his extra curricular activities. They need to learn that there are consequences to their actions and that this will not be tolerated any longer. I've heard of other incidents like this taking place at SVHS and there have been no consequences. That needs to change now!!

The young man used his stolen cell phone as a pretext for bullying. It's not acceptable. Yes, suspend him from football. Better yet, expel him from Spring Valley High School.

I would not be signing this if the boy had stopped after realizing the other boy wasn't going to fight back. Unfortunately he didn't so I'm signing this with confidence.

I work with special needs children & this is completely unacceptable. Hitting him & threatening him? He should be suspended from school the rest of the year. There's NO excuse for this. This boy knew exactly what he was doing & loved being filmed. Bully. Plain & simple.

Not acceptable behavior and needs to understand consequences for his actions so he doesn't end up in jail later in life!

Kick him out of school
What happened to the non bullying policy
Should not be allowed to participate in any school activities
We hear about it every year, so here where the school board steps up and do what is right

I not only think that "KG" should never be allowed to play football again, ever!!, be it at SVHS or anywhere else, but I also feel as though he should be EXPELLED from school instead of just suspended.

The school needs to do something more drastic to let others know that there is zero tolerance for bullying.
