The school administration reversed the removal order and agreed to reinstate the display of the photograph. We are now working with the board to ensure the image remains on view throughout the semester. Thank you for maintaining the pressure required to reach this outcome.

We were first here to get our photo discussing consent and rape culture back in Wagner High School. This was taken down due to the fact that the model was under age. We are now trying to just simply spread the original photo as much as possible. Consent and Rape is something that needs to be talked about constantly, hopefully this powerful photo can help children of this generation understand and sees the hyper-sexualization of people and the realization that rape culture does exist in our society. Rape culture normalizes the sexual harassment of all people, not only females. As this popularity of this photo increase, the more people are aware of sexual harassment and the importance of consent. Thank you and please share this as much as possible. Thank you for all the support and the 1000+ signatures.

ENOUGH WITH THE CENSORSHIP!!! You are a school! You should be ashamed to be teaching censorship! Rape is an important subject. A recent study showed 85% of 16 y/o males and 65% of girls the same age believe that rape is ok under certain circumstances. UNEXCEPTABLE!

The excuse of the student model being underage in this instance is totally irrelevant; Not only is this image not sexual or revealing, but anyone of any age can be a victim of rape or sexual assault. Hiding work that causes discussion doesn't solve anything.

Shame on principal Giordano for his interpretation of school polciy to censor free speech on such an important topic, rather than encouraging further discussion. What example are you setting as a principal? The work should have never required revision. You should be ashamed.

Silencing this voice silences the necessary conversation surrounding rape culture, thereby perpetuating a sexist and patriarchal structure. I am disgusted that Wagner is playing a suppressive, rather than an empowering role, in relation to this discourse.

This photo emphasizes societies hyper sexualization of the female body. The fact that it was taken down re-emphasizes the hyper sexualization of the female body. Why is a female back sexual but not a males? These girls are making a valid and excellent point.

Absurd. This amount of female sexualization in this school is incredible. Even the school dress code is only enforced on girls. It's only the girls backs and they are acknowledging a true phenomenon that need to be addressed, rape.

Children should be educated at a young age to respect each other and every individual's boundaries.

As a father of two daughters I think this photograph is fantastic.
