To the State Liquor Authority of New York

To the Esteemed Members of Community Board 4/NYC

RE: The SPOT Club on Tenth Avenue 44th/45th Streets

We the undersigned reside in Hell’s Kitchen.

We ask that you deny the application for the SPOT late night club.

We need law abiding owners in that space, and not a late night performance venue. The last thing we need is a cabaret. It is not in our community’s interest to have lines of patrons and crowds smoking on the sidewalks until 4 a.m. This area is residential, comparatively quiet, and we want to keep it that way.

Please help us.

The SPOT operators have a very bad record here. The SLA closed all three of their last establishments - but not before neighbors had endured years of attack on their quality of life.

Please deny this license. Neither the establishment nor the applicants belong here.

Thank you.

We have enough bars..One of the owners was a partner at Bartini who promised to be a good neighbor..that bar was a nightmare for those of us living in the surrounding buildings.

Please deny a liquor license to SPOT. Consideration should be given to the people who live, work and sleep in this residential neighborhood. SPOT will bring in litterers, drunkenness, , smokers, swearers, vulgarity & excessive noise. Our QUALITY OF LIFE for families, seniors will be very diminished.

Growing up in NYC I remember, as a youngster, being forbidden by my parents to go to this area - it was so bad. That changed completely with the construction of Manhattan Plaza and arrival of its residents. The area completely turned around. Please don't send us back to those dark days. We need neighborhood-friendly businesses here only.

Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood /area have more than its fair share of eating and drinking establishments, there is absolutely no need for one more. I support spaces for galleries, arts, bakeries, service oriented businesses that are diversified. A resounding NO to yet another restaurant/ late night club.

This a residential neighborhood not an entertainment center... we have enough quality of life issues in HK... we do not need bar/club patrons hanging out on the sidewalks until 4a.m. Please deny this license...

Please deny this application. I lived for many years next to FairyTails on West 48th St. It was a never-ending nightmare with patrons hanging out and soliciting residents and tourists as they passed by. Thankfully, it seems the club has permanently closed.

Our neighborhood does not need this kind of business. Please protect this residential community from SPOT late night club.
