Our planning application was refused for our new gym in Upper Caldecote, Biggleswade, based on factors that seem unjust and biased. Based on the fact there is already a Gymnastics business in the industrial estate operating in a similar way to ourselves, the planning application refusal was unexpected and has caused huge setbacks and monetary losses for our company.
We provide not only a safe place for young people to attend with trusted staff they can confide in, but also jobs for those that show dedication and commitment to this sport that they love.
Keeping youngsters off the streets and in a safe environment away from crime by putting their time into a skilled sport, should be a top priority of most councils now, as more and more young people struggle to access these services and are engaging in antisocial behaviour. There are very few businesses that offer the opportunities that we do in the local community already and our work will have a positive impact on not only local residents but local businesses also as we attract new people to the area.

Reaching this level of support feels heavy because it confirms so many of you see the same injustice in the council's decision that I see every day. The exhaustion of this fight is real but knowing I have this army behind me makes it impossible to walk away now.

Please allow this business to flourish. They provide a much needed place for young people to channel their energy in a positive and safe environment. It is extremely popular with young boys especially which often normal gymnastics is not. This bus has survived the pandemic and has many loyal customers and will gain more. It will be an asset to the area.
These club has changed my son. He found a passion in something and confidence in himself. SPIRAL are providing him a fun safe and friendly environment to be himself!!
Such a valuable resource for young people
Freerunning is really fun & a new gym would be so cool to have. I love it.
I love coming to Spiral classes and it would be amazing to have a proper Parkour gym to train in.

Spiral is an amazing organisation, run by young people for the benefit and health of other young people. My children love and need the amazing facilities on offer by Spiral. This region needs leisure facilities and to have a non-mainstream, custom-built sports facility on our doorstep is an incredible and valuable opportunity. Please help keep our kids healthy and away from screens by approving their planning application.
