Why not? Although I have enjoyed Spider Man 3 in the cinemas as a kid, I would love to see a better version of the film, since in retrospect it does seem like the weaker addition of the trilogy. More Venom, I hope?

I loved the treatment Spider-Man 2 got with the 2.1 release, and many of those scenes really added a lot to an already great film. I guess we all agree that Spider-Man 3 deserves this kind of revisit as well, and maybe even more than it's predecessor.
