We, the undersigned,
are concerned about the speeding traffic through the village of South Ascot,
particularly along Brockenhurst Road and request that the Council undertakes an analysis of the problems and seeks to slow traffic down the required 20/30mph.
I have nearly been run over on the zebra crossing a couple of times because of the speeds of drivers, the parked cars and the lack of awareness. Pulling out of my road I have had someone roar up behind me because of their speed on the main road too. This is certainly a dangerous stretch of road, and a speed survey would be a useful starting point to gather some data.

Vehicles traveling though South Ascot using the high st, do not stick to the 20mph speed limit. Speeding cars make crossing the difficult not to mention very dangerous due to narrowness of high st. Local residents especially those with young children crossing the road during the school run is very stressful.

I think having a constant speed of 30mph beyond the 20mph zone would help. The road length to Charters is a crazy mix of 30mph to 40mph littered with 'slow' painted in the 40mph areas.

Completely agree. But the children also need mass education from us and school about road sense. More effective from the school perhaps.

Something should be done as traffic clearly does not slow down to the speed limit. We should not wait for an accident to happen to sort this problem out.

i agree accidents waiting to happen, especially as so many children walking to school.
