At the present time, motorists are constantly speeding down N. Willamette Blvd. in excess of 40+ MPH. A high volume of motorists use this street because it has a speed limit of 35 MPH and very few stop lights for long stretches on the road.  Despite continuous concern from local citizens about speeders, the City of Portland Police has continually explained that they simply do not have the manpower to enforce the speed limit in this residential neighborhood.  The area's concerned citizens, many with young children, ask the City of Portland, Oregon to lower the speed limit to 30 MPH in hopes of making N. Willamette blvd. a safer street for everyone that uses it.
