I am trying to generate signatures in support of instituting “speed slot” tee times at Bonnie Briar. The idea is to allow a set number of twosomes to play early morning prior to the first scheduled times (6am-7am) The groups would be required to play at a pre determined pace in order to be off course for the remainder of the members. Other clubs in the area have institutied this policy and it has proven to be successful. Parents with young kids, golfers who play fast, amongst others can take advantage of this opportunity. It will not only provide a quick game for a group of members but it would also open the tee sheet for other members later in the day. I beleive the time allotment given at neighboring clubs is 2.25 hours for 18 holes of golf.

This policy would be challenging for us to implement on the weekends considering BBCC does a simultaneous start off 1 & 10 ( whole other issue) but it could be something that we offer midweek.

I have brought this up with the golf committee over the years and it was met with some apprehension, but I am hopeful that with enough signatures we can move the needle.
