I am a resident and 20 year veteran of Victoria Police. I specialized in traffic policing for most of my career. I can attest witnessing many vehicles exceeding 100 kph both east and west in Graham St (60 k zone) between Bay Street and Station St.

Absolutely agree something needs to be done along this stretch of road. The only monitoring I have ever seen happens the other side of the flyover opposite the primary school, never on the stretch of Graham street between Bay Street and the bridge/flyover. It’s a major accident waiting to happen and with 2 close calls now is the time to act.

I hope that either police or council action what residents have been requesting for many years before a serious fatality drives them to respond

I have written to Vic Roads, City of Port Phillip Council and Victoria Police a number of times and yet no change has been made to speed restriction and driver behaviour.

I would like to suggest a Pedestron crossing as well, for people crossing to the bus stop.
Keep Graham street safe please
