These are horrific deaths and all because of privileged children with expensive luxury vehicles speeding in residential streets

This situation has become an issue in every neighborhood unfortunately. Speed limits are to high for suburban streets and are not enough to deter uncaring individuals. It's not just a want,, it's become a need and a must for all streets in suburbia

Certainly actions speak louder than words and the actions have demonstrated that three children have lost their precious life and one adult has been seriously injured, all on Athabaskan Drive, a main artery in this residential area. Obviously, Athabaskan Road was not well designed or safe as there are currently no traffic calming measures. WAKE UP politicians!! Your time for action should’ve been years ago in 2003. Show us you can be responsible NOW!! I bet you’re grateful it wasn’t your child! We must ALL work together as a community to make these necessary SAFETY changes.

Stop wasting time on these silly petitions. You can't stop selfish entitled little pricks from speeding using speed bumps.

My uncle was impacted and severely injured as a direct result of speeding on Athabasca Drive. Please consider adding more speed bumps. It could save another life or keep people, like my uncle, from getting injured.

We also need to enforce stopping at stop signs along with the issue of spending.

I think excessive speeding is an issue in all neighbourhoods in the City of Vaughan. I think serious consideration should be placed on installing speed cameras and ensuring there are more police cruisers on the roads. This will deter this obnoxious behaviour. We pay a lot of taxes and using these funds to focus on public safety should be a main priority.

We definitely need measures to address the excessive speeds that are accumulating on Kirby, Laurentian and Athabasca. A permanent solution needs to be implemented.

The speeds at which cars drive in this neighborhood are shocking, esp delivery trucks.

I support anything that will avoid such tragedies.

Not just on Athabaska. Also Kirby and Laurentian. The speeding is out of control. See “donut” skid marks on Laurentian at Kirby!

This is an absolute necessity. Many similar Vaughan neighbourhoods have installed speed bumps and have had great success in slowing down traffic.

We totally support the need for speed humps on Athabasca Drive.
