I am writing in regards to West 2nd street here in Elk City. There are t-ball-baseball fields across from the three homes on this street, one of which are mine. I watched kids out on the field playing ball and the younger kids playing games on the fence line. Many times running into the street to get their ball or toy all while people speed down this road with complete disregard. The speed limit sign says 20 mph, when turning in off of Western Drive and that is highly ignored. I am needing to know who I need to get a hold of to add speed bumps here. Just like Eckley Park has them all around so should this place here. They are needed on this street to slow people down before a child gets ran over. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get this done. Myself and all neighbors are in agreeance and I am sure all parents of the children who play here. If you are willing to sign a petition for this please let me know. Kids aren’t safe on this street with the way people drive in complete disregard.
