Re: Special Emergency Membership Meeting Annoucement
I, Emerald Reeves-Hayles, as a Member of the Sickle Cell Association of Ontario, would like to call a special emergency membership meeting 15 days on completion of this petition, according to SCAO's bylaws - Article 6. (d), to address Risk Management within the organization.
I am an avid supporter through their walk-a-thon where I generate thousands in pledges each year, therefore I am concerned about the direction in which the organization is heading and would like to know that it is being governed accordingly.
The following topics includes: a Vote of No-Confidence of the Board of Directors and Dissolution of the Board.
Please see the attached petition for members of SCAO to sign as a quorum of 25 signatures is required for the member's meeting.

I have been reading through the messages you all are sending and the level of concern for our organization is truly moving. This is not about me but about making sure the association remains a place we can all trust.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the response to this request and I never imagined such a quick turn of events. This momentum belongs entirely to those of you who stepped up to ensure our concerns are finally addressed.

Too many concerns about how the money is being handled lately. We need this meeting ASAP.
Finally someone is calling them out. The board needs to go.
