Whereas: (a) The Conservative Government led by Stephen Harper ran on an election promise to fix the fiscal imbalance, but to do it without including resource revenue in the equalization formula. (b) The Conservative Government broke its promise and is now refusing to honour the Atlantic Accords. (c) This broken promise is yet another example of the Conservative Government\'s inability to keep its word, and its strategy to write off provinces and groups it doesn\'t think that it needs to win a majority government. (d) Member of Parliament Bill Casey has honourably voted against the budget and as a result was expelled from his caucus despite assurances that no MP would be expelled for taking a principled position. (e) Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay has been severely discredited in his role as the voice for Nova Scotia in government. (f) The Conservative Riding Association in Cumberland Colchester Musquodoboit Valley has now also broken ranks and have sided with Bill Casey in his crusade to stand up for his home province. (g) Finance Minister Jim Flaherty has now indicated that he may "clarify" the Government\'s position. (h) Conservative Party Members of Parliament, party members, and supporters can ensure that this reversal of a broken promise occurs by speaking out and signing this petition. WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, CALL ON STEPHEN HARPER AND HIS CONSERVATIVES TO HONOUR THEIR PROMISES TO HONOUR THE ATLANTIC ACCORDS. WE CALL ON CONSERVATIVE MPS TO STAND UP FOR THEIR PROVINCES AND TO STOP LETTING THEIR PERSONAL POLITICAL INTERESTS PREVENT THEM FROM ADVOCATING FOR WHAT IS RIGHT AND JUST. WE ALSO CALL ON ALL CONSERVATIVE RIDING ASSOCIATIONS IN NOVA SCOTIA AND NEWFOUNDLAND TO REPRESENT YOUR CONSTITUENTS AND SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE SILENCE OF CONSERVATIVE MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT.
