I feel it unfair to allow transgender men to participate in women's sport. They are still physically stronger than women, therefore have a distinct advantage against any woman they are competing against. Raine Shirley

It is not transphobic to observe that men are bigger, faster and stronger than women. It is spectacularly unfair to allow biologically male athletes to compete in women's sport. Sport must be categorised by sex, not gender.

It is not fair for women to have men competing against them in the guise of being transgender. You cannot change your gender you can change your sexual organs but not your gender.

In fairness to biological women, sport must be based on sex not gender

Elite male athletes are bigger, faster and stronger than elite female athletes. We're already seeing men winning female trophies elsewhere in the world. Please, New Zealand, stand up for sanity in sport.

Biological sex confers males many advantages over the female body. This is not inclusivity. Many females will lose out to men who have gone through puberty & have an anatomy that gives them inherent advantages over females. Females cannot identify out of their biology anymore than males can identify into female anatomy & physiology.

Sex is determined at conception. Male born people have numerous physical differences - lung capacity, differences in hips, pelvis, knees, bone density etc that confer irreversible advantages when it comes to sport. Reducing t levels do nothing to reverse these advantages. Sex - not gender identity

I'm 51, as a child I wasn't allowed to learn and play football, rugby, cricket, basketball or box because I'm female. In my lifetime I've seen sport move forward, not as much as I would like but at least the right direction. That sports governing bodies are now allowing males who identify as women to compete in womens sport will effectively remove opportunities for women and girls to participate in sports by losing places, scholarship and training opportunities. This isn't inclusive it's the very opposite of inclusiveness and is a massive step backwards for womens sports.

Women's sports teams mean *nothing* anymore if they can be obliterated by the inclusion of physical males.

Trans women should not compete in any FEMALE competition. You can identify as what ever you want, but your genetic make up says otherwise. That, they cannot change.

Girls are still not encouraged as often as boys to participate in sport. Males taking women’s spots on teams will be just more discouragement for them in my opinion. Keep sport fair!

Sex, not gender, must determine categories. Otherwise biological women will be forced out of sport. This might be inclusive of transwomen, but it's women that make the huge sacrifice of fairness, safety and opportunity. Not a great day for sporting values.
