Release Of 10 Spaghetti Westerns
To: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. and Allen Klein This petition is for the release of other MGM owned westerns or westerns distributed by MGM outside the LEONE films on the dvd format and in special editions . This is for fans of films like The Great Silence, Django, The Good The Bad And The Ugly, Once Upon A Time In The West, and DUCK ,YOU SUCKER . Here is a list of the following films that should be released on dvd. 1. Death Rides A horse .(1967) 2. SERGIO CORBUCCI\'S The Mercenary .(1968) 3. Navajo Joe .(1966) 4. Johnny Oro .(1966) 5. The Five Army Men.(1969) 6. A Stranger In Town.(1967) 7. The Stranger Returns.(1967) 8. The Silent Stranger.(1968) 9. Los Amigos. (1972) 10. God Forgives... I Don\'t ! (1967) These are ten films that alot of Spaghetti Western fans should own on dvd. Countries over seas get these movies on dvd and in the most beautiful of condition and we don\'t. These films need to be released in America on region 1 dvds , In there (2.35:1) WIDESCREEN ASPECT RATIOS or (1.85:1) WIDESCREEN ASPECT RATIOS With good film transfers , and they should be in director\'s cut versions with complete english dubbing and optional Italian audio. The films also should not be on PAN AND SCAN dvds (Turn overs ). These films are too good for that awful treatment. For special feature materials I guess one or two featurettes would work for each dvd along with the original theatrical trailers . Please support these films . I also suggest that MGM hire Michael Felsher\'s company RED SHIRT PICTURES to produce the bonus materials for these titles ,perhaps along with the assistance of Blue-Underground\'s David Gregory . Those guys really know how to deliver the goods . Also a few HD transfers wouldn\'t hurt.
