I applaud each one of you for getting involved! The school property tax is out of control all across the State of Pennsylvania. People lose their homes every year because they cannot pay this excessive tax. It hits seniors especially hard because they are on fixed incomes.
It’s great to examine your local school board’s budget but there are built in cost that will be next to impossible for them to control. This problem needs to be fixed at the state level with a new funding stream. We have tried for years to pass SB-76 and HB-76. The ONLY way to permanently eliminate the school property tax!

There are currently about 78 grassroots groups fighting for this bill.
Join us at the State level to help push SB-76 and HB-76!

We only hear about the need for more money and seldom hear about how governmental budgets are scrutinized for trimming. Programs and expenditures need to be evaluated to determine their value and need. In tight times, my family knows that we always ask ourselves, "do we want this or do we need this" and if we only want it, it doesn't get purchased. Governments/School Boards should be asking the same question.
