I would like our conference to go to the playoffs and measure themselves against tougher competition to see how much work needs to be done in order to legitimately compete with the rest of FCS

The SWAC has no chance of regaining a prominent role in NCAA Athletics if it remains isolated, refusing to compete against the best possible competition and relying on an inconsequential conference championship game to provide an illusion of relevance.

The SWAC needs to start playing the FCS playoffs. Get the NCAA to start the playoffs after the Thanksgiving weekend.

Commissioner needs to take this petition seriously!!!! We need to simply shift Football schedules back by 1-2 weeks.

The SWAC is doing the student athletes a disservice by not allowing them to compete for a national title. The SWAC Championship is good, but it doesn't mean anything to anyone outside the SWAC Conference. In order to mainatin credibility as a valuable athletic conference, it is imperative that the SWAC offer more or at least offer something that is comprable to other FCS programs. The ability to compete for a national title would be a great start!

I agree. If winning the SWAC much like basketball meant something like being selected to the 64 Team dance a play for a Championship, I would support the SWAC Championship Game continuing. We get ZERO exposure or name recognition behind this. The SWAC Championship does nothing to advance the winning university's cause! On the other hand, the SEC Championship Game means something! The winning university may find itself in a quest for a National Title! It serves a purpose! Take a page from Tuskegee's Book! They have opted out of their Annual Thanksgiving (Turkey) Day Classic with Alabama State for a chance to compete for a National Title! Tuskegee made the NCAA DIV-II Playoffs as a result in 2013. They received great exposure for the University, even thou they lost by 3 points in the first round to the University of North Alabama. A game they should have won, but 3 turnovers took its toll. This will definitely boost recruiting efforts, and get SWAC schools "ON THE MAP," making them a realistic option for high caliber athletes across the Country.
