We the fans of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, are requesting that the governing body of the "SWAC", allow eligible teams in the conference to participate in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoffs. We believe this would be more beneficial to the conference than teams participating in the SWAC Championship game on an annual basis. We believe the exposure would allow for better recruiting in the conference. We also believe it would improve the conference's overall Power Rating in FCS Football.
Sincere Regards,
Fans of The Southwestern Athletic Conference Football
Seeing this gain such momentum feels completely surreal. It is honestly moving to witness how many of you care about opening these doors for our players, and I am just happy to be a small part of what you are all building.

I would like our conference to go to the playoffs and measure themselves against tougher competition to see how much work needs to be done in order to legitimately compete with the rest of FCS

The SWAC has no chance of regaining a prominent role in NCAA Athletics if it remains isolated, refusing to compete against the best possible competition and relying on an inconsequential conference championship game to provide an illusion of relevance.

The SWAC is doing the student athletes a disservice by not allowing them to compete for a national title. The SWAC Championship is good, but it doesn't mean anything to anyone outside the SWAC Conference. In order to mainatin credibility as a valuable athletic conference, it is imperative that the SWAC offer more or at least offer something that is comprable to other FCS programs. The ability to compete for a national title would be a great start!

It's not fare to the teams that don't make it to the swac and meac championship game, let the kids get all the exposure that is possible
