Should never have stopped the airshow, was such a popular event and bought hundreds of thousands of tourists to the town. This should be a top priority to bring this back, even more so now we’re a city.
Come on Southend Council, make this happen!

Actually do something that attracts people to the seafront
No illuminations

The fun pier with no fun
And whatever else has disappeared

The enthusiasm and interest for our local aviation history and airport is as strong as it ever was. The cancellation of the airshow was always a travesty and outraged many. Southend City needs a prestige event and the airshow is just that. Bring it back!

Bringing back the air show will be the best thing for us now that we are a city and don’t really have many events going on . Southend needs to offer more to our residents and visitors.

The airshow would be great for the local economy and a fantastic boost to the well being of the people of the city of Southend and thousands more from around the country, it was always a great crowd draw and it what the people want again.
