I agree that it should have been done when they built the original overpass. Now if we could get Phoenix to make good on the promised street from Jomax over to 33rd. Pros and cons to that but I am all about saving gas and miles on my car.

A much needed improvement! We drive miles south past our home only to turn around and drive back north.
A Dixileta exit would eliminate this problem.

The southbound offramp at Dixileta would be beneficial for several reasons. One it will reduce drive times for residents trying to access their homes on the west side of the interstate 17. This will reduce vehicle omissions from cars having to drive the extra distance to access their house. Also, the fire department is looking to build a fire station at interstate 17 and Jomax. This southbound offramp will give them more options to respond faster to calls.

I live nearby and work north of here so having to flip all the way around is seriously getting old. It would be fairly easy to do.

My vote is NO.
I agree that it is an inconvenience to drive around but it keeps traffic down within our neighborhood and that is one of the things that we love about our neighborhood. We do not have easy access to our neighborhood and that is a blanket of protection for us against crime. Yes if criminals want to hit our neighborhood they will but this is a deterrence because they do not have easy in or easy or easy out.
