The police finally confirmed they are deploying specialist divers to search the river for Lorraine. My heart is full knowing her daughters will finally have the answers they deserve. Thank you for never turning away from this search and for staying by my side until we forced this outcome.

South Wales Police To Get Divers To Search For Missing Lorraine Ridout

Lorraine Ridout is 57 years young. She has been missing from her home since January 31st 2016. There have been hundreds if not thousands of posters stuck all over the Cardiff area. There has been no Cctv sightings of her at all. Her family feels she is in the River Taff. Please please sign this petition. South Wales Police need to get their divers in to thoroughly search the water for this lovely lady. Her poor daughters need to find their mum!!! Please please sign xx

I have been in constant contact with the family and the lack of answers is physically painful for everyone who loves her. We are pushing for this search because her children deserve the peace of bringing their mother home.

Seeing this level of support for my family brings a glimmer of hope during these devastating months. The momentum gives me the courage to keep pushing the authorities until they finally search the river for Lorraine.

Shouldn't need signatures to send these divers in to find this poor lady. The weather has been terrible but we have also had lovely weather. The family deserve closure now!! #findlorraineridout
The resources used and time and money spent in a missing person enquiry should not be dependent on class ,colour ,wealth or how sellable a news story they are.she is someone's wife ,mum ,friend,sister. #findlorraineridout
I don't understand why a petition has even had to be launched! This is bloody ridiculous. What an earth is the point of paying tax if something as basic as scouring the river Taff has resulted in a petition?! Sending luck and love to all of Lorraine's family and friends <3
My brother in law was found in the river taff. The family deserve closure either way, a missing person tears the rest of the family apart. Hope she is found safe and well. My prayers are with you at this unsettling time x
More needs to be done, it makes sense to investigate the river as Lorraine lived so close, it's been a long time since she went missing and the family need peace of mind!

This vulnerable lady needs to be found, I don't know her personally, but anyone with a heart can feel the pain of her family...so shocked divers have not yet searched....come on SOUTH WALES POLICE....YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS!! #findlorraineridout
