Hope this will help keep the carnival going I have been watching the carnival since I was a small kid and not missed one yet! Love all the work they put in and efforts keep carnival x

This needs to be sorted so clubs do not fold, as many have done through not having anywhere to build. The carnivals bring a lot of revenue to the towns in involved.

Just think of all the trade these people who put in a lot hours to build there floats bring into the towns that they go to, please help them

The carnival season sees people of the community gathering together to celebrate on one night.
By taking away their area to create such creative floats etc. Then the carnival season will cease to continue with the same spirit.

I think a Carnival Park would be a great place to have all the various clubs to build/store there floats and materials. Would be sad to loose such a brilliant event.

my family have always been involved in carnival with both sets of grandparents forming harlequin carnival club, a very big club in the south west Somerset carnivals circuit. This would provide a great space for clubs to build and would build a future for other generations, including my generation, so I can carry on the legacy my parents and grandparents have built

This is for a great cause, carnival is a free event for the general public. I don't understand why people won't rent out a small piece of land.

This is a long overdue initiative which deserves the backing of local and district councils in order to secure the future of south Somersets carnivals.
