This isn’t the first petition that’s been put forward that ive signed on this matter, but in light of recent events, I think this move could do a lot to make uni students and the younger population of Headington and Cowley at ease.

Society will take a long time to change their ways with the abuse that females get. But one way to help make them feel safer (and to be safer) at night is something as simple as a light to guide them home.

Definitely a good idea, I remember walking back to halls at night I would usually walk around unless I was with others

Lights should be installed for the safety of many, especially when it’s dark.

South Park is right next to Oxford Brookes Uni and it is known as Rape Park. Our young ladies need to be able to walk about freely and without fear. Lighting is urgently required in South Park.

I have lived in Oxford for the last four years, and this argument needs to finally be recognised. There is flood lights in for this is Ox, however for the local community and the students.
