South Carolina adopted the Common Core State Standards with little or no input from its citizens. We oppose the standards on the basis of poor content and loss of state control over education. We oppose the spending of taxpayer dollars on a controversial unproven program that we believe will be detrimental to our state, our educational system, and our children.
