Let's protect hearing of our athletes, hunters and hobby shooters. This truly is a safety device, like a helmet for cyclists.

This will help reduce hearing and noise issues. There is no evidence at all that they will accelerate crime.

the prohibition does absolutely nothing to prevent any crimes, and all it does is prevent Canadians from taking all possible measures to protect their hearing and the hearing of their pets, livestock, and loved ones.

These devices reduce the volume of a fired round to an acceptable level that will not damage the hearing of the shooter, people nearby or animals out in the wild. They do not totally cancel out the sound as Hollywood would make it look like, but they do significantly reduce the sound signature to a level that, while still loud, is not loud enough to damage hearing. As see recently with the case in Regina with the shooting range and the neighbours complaining about the sound levels, this could have been avoided with the use of sound moderators by all people using the range, or any other number of ranges, or out in the woods. It's time to have a real discussion about this as to the health and safety benefits of these devices as many other countries and sections of other countries have already discovered. It's time for Canada to realize the benefits of these devices for the current population and for generations to come.

Valid health and safety concern, as it not wise or benefitial to wear hearing protection especially while hunting.

PPE should never be prohibited.

It only makes sense to remove the prohibition on Canada's only prohibited safety device.

Canadian should have access to lawful use of suppressors.
