If it has a soul, it has a purpose. At United in Love, we believe putting dogs down is inhumane. We love our animals and cherish our pets. We have nowhere to take animals that we wish we could help. There is no such thing as a no-kill shelter in the State of Texas. Killing an animal point-blank for no other reason than being overpopulated is not a justifiable reason, and should be illegal, with shelters being held accountable.

At this same time, there are many inmates in prison who are in, for justified or unjustified reasons, some good, some bad. Everyone deserves a second chance, even those who may never see the light of day or the beautiful skies that a civilian sees every day.

With that in mind, United in Love believes in uniting the prison system and stray dogs, shelter dogs, or just dogs in need or about to be put down, for purposes of rehabilitating hurt, depressed, crazed inmates who have shown consistent good behavior. In turn, this could encourage other inmates that they too can still find unconditional love or companionship in the system.

This petition is to allow our organization to transfer animals (MAINLY those who are going to be on death row) to state prisons or prison systems in order to meet and bond with the new owner with the companion.

Please allow United in Love to make this dream become a reality and change even the smallest part of the world to make it a better more loving place.
