Would you feel differently if you were missing your children's events?

I like and respect Governor Little. I honestly believe that he's trying to do something right, but these guidelines are not the way to solve the problem. Individuals should be allowed to take responsibility and do what they think is safe.

I feel at this time that it is more important than never for us to support our children because they feel so isolated and alone

It is important for parents to support their kids in cheering them on at sporting events. It is something that they will remember for the rest of their lives. My 73 year old father, still talks about the fact that his parents never showed up for his wrestling matches. We (parents and students) don’t get these years back after they are gone. My kids have already missed prom, dances, senior night, dance competitions, graduation and many more activities in the name of safety. They can go to school, to the store or work, but somehow having a parent in the bleachers are unsafe. This logic doesn’t make sense. I understand the physical risks and severity of COVID, but the shutdowns are affecting kids mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. I personally know of five families that have lost children to suicide within the last 9 months! Don’t cause more stress and anguish for families. We need to be with our kids for emotional support and in case of injury. We can practice safety in a bleacher.

Please allow parents to attend!! Why are we showing schools to stay fully open but then students comes home to the family and we are around them but we can’t attend a basketball game in a gym where masks and distancing can be allowed. I also believe it is against the law to keep a parent away from a minor in a public funded building! I personally believe it’s my right to be there for my child and if there is a health issue that arises I would not be allowed in the gym. Not the best decisions in my opinion. I think this should be reconsidered! I also believe you should not make exceptions during this time for 400 fans per team to be allowed for state football playoffs is this favoritism ..... think so!

Not only do all experts agree, but common sense tells us we must be there to support our children in athletic activities. All restrictions effecting youth athletics must be removed immediately.

My grandson chose not to do wrestling this year because of these Draconian Rules!

If a school lunchroom can hold 300 kids at a time, spectators can be in a gym 5x that size. Let’s bring common sense back.

Let us parents go watch our kids at sporting events. We can wear masks but it's no different than stores or bars or restaurants...

Families should be able to watch their kids/siblings play. If there is enough room at a gym to social distance, there is no need to exclude. It just makes sense.

This is ridiculous! More than 10 people are at the bars and restaurants. Our children are together all day at school. Our students, parents and grandparents have had their rights taken away! Governor Little I hope you have an enjoyable time missing your grandchildren’s activities and can explain to them why you have taken everyone’s right away as far as watching school sports and activities and music programs! I thoroughly disgusted with how you are handling this. If the truth was known most of your citizens have had the virus and just weren’t tested so that their communities could still function in somewhat of a normal fashion. We love our students!!!!!!!! They deserve to play in front of their families and fans! This is not fair. Maybe if we took our kids to the bars and restaurants we could enjoy time with them outside of the home!!!! Is that what is more important to you is going to the bar and eating out all the time! This is about our children and their fun abs wonderful memories they want of their school years. In some communities most of the staff at a school are parents of the athletes and musicians. They’re around each other at school all day with the children. Why allow them to be together all day but then after school they can’t be in a gymnasium together? Come in! This is insane! We the people are furious at this and we demand you do your job and quit taking the freedoms away from us especially those that affecting our athletes and student activities!
