Our little boy is only 7. If he trips and falls during a game, his little face is going to look for me, and I won’t be there to wipe his tears and tell him it will be ok. That’s not the coach’s job, that’s a parent’s job. If people are still afraid to catch Covid, then they can choose to stay home. Those of us who are willing to wear masks and keep our distance should be allowed to come to games.

This in not the only freedoms our leaders are trying to take away. It is time to take an active stance to let our voices be heard in all parts of our government.

I agree that parents shouldn't be kept from their kids events. However, I don't blame the Governor for this. I think he has done the best he can possibly do. He is in a no win situation. The rest of us get to sit back and openly criticize as if we know best but he has to make the best decision possible when there are two very strong and opposite opinions. I think Idaho is far better off because of Governor Little.

Taking away extracurricular activities for the youth of Idaho will back fire in more ways than one. You will see an increase in suicide, depression, recreation drug use, partying, and violence. The kids already have to sit in front a screen to do school. Now take away the only outlet they have to be creative, or burn off stress, and you will have a recipe for disaster. My two children have been involved in sports at the high school level from summer through fall and one now will be playing in winter. Not 1 case of covid throughout the entire time. The kids were healthy, happy and reaching goals that they set for themselves. Why are we punishing the kids more??? When the survival rate of covid in children is 99.9 % then let them continue to LIVE. Sports and extracurricular activities should be a necessity just as school is for the kids. They have already so much taken away. Please don’t take this away as well.

I shouldn’t be forced to wear a mask nor should I be forced between my god given American right or not be able to watch my kids play. It’s all crap and control by the government!

I have 3 daughters playing high school basketball. One daughter, a senior has had knee injuries two of her high school playing years. As her parent I feel the need to be at her games in case she gets hurt! It isn't right to have a stranger run my daughter to a hospital or an ambulance to be called if she gets hurt because I am too far away. The rule needs changed! At least allow one parent. The gyms are big enough to allow people to spread out!
