Marstons listened and Sean is staying at the pub. You proved that loyalty to our community matters more than corporate plans.

After 9 and a half years of running the causeway pub and being a much valued friend to all the regulars as well as well as a much valued member of the community in stranton, our beloved sean has been told his term is up and he must accept a transfer to another pub if he wishes to stay employed "as marstons plans for the pub don't include sean".

I have started this petition to show some solidarity with sean who has always been there for his customers and the community in stranton through our highs and lows (weddings funerals births break ups and a just a general shoulder to cry on) and to hopefully get this decision overturned on behalf of all who use the pub and live in Stranton. Thank you for reading and please sign and share regards Bob

Played my first gig here and many more after this Sean is a mighty fine landlord and should be part of the causway for as long as he can!

Sean's been nothing but brilliant for us in our approaching 3 years as the causeway Sunday league team. A friendly face and genuine enthusiasm for us when most pubs aren't interested in a football team nowadays. Always friendly to us and all other customers

I play for the Causeway football team, and Sean has looked after us brilliantly since we started up. He is always there for a chat, and often asks how we are etc. I know he is well respected by a large amount of customers too. Sean is a great landlord, the idea of replacing him is baffling.

Been going in the causeway now for a few years and consider it my local. Sean is always very polite and helpful Every time we go, he's had great entertainment over these years and we’ve had some great Christmases there. To find out that he is going to lose the job he loves and the place he loves is Just Awful. Please consider letting him keep his job.

Me and my husband have been coming in this pub just short of 23 years.Since we met Sean he has made us so welcome and supported us through some very hard times please rethink your decision and keep Sean at The Causeway .Thank you Nicola

Since Sean has taken the reins and has started running the Causeway on his own, the whole atmosphere has changed, regulars have started to come back and Marston's should just the man a chance!
