The Ps3 has this too, though disc games are spared, probably cause it doesn't have a drm on disc games.
Still a update is needed, whether it's on USB or Internet.

Fix it. We paid good money over the years for our games. If you do not, then the plan to go pure digital will fail completely. Meaning a new crash of the gamesbusiness...
