My sister was born without functioning vocal cords and is unable to speak . She loves gaming , and used the in game text chat offered by Sonys PlayStation 3 as a way to communicate with her friends and fellow gamers . Upon purcashing a PlayStation 4 we have found that they have not included the in game text chat as an option . So now my sister is limited as to what games she can play . I have tried contacting Sony and was told that there are no plans to put this option on the PlayStation 4 . I find this unacceptable , not just for my sister but for others with disabilities like the deaf . They rely on this feature to be active in online gaming . I was also told that all it would take to add this option was a system patch . So for those that can't speak for themselves I am making this petition . Please help me help them , by letting Sony know that they are segregating an entire section of their gaming community and it is unacceptable and changes need to be made to make the lives of the disabled better . If Sony is willing to take their money they should at least be willing to accommodate all gamers , not just those that can speak and hear .

There are numerous people that have a variety of disabilities , and in game text chatting is the only way they have to communicate . That's why this is so important . We need to make a change for those that depend on this function . And Sony needs to realize they are discriminating against a large number of gamers that spent their hard earned money just like everyone else has and deserves to enjoy gaming again . Everyone matters not just those deemed so called " normal " , because let's face it normal is a relative term right ?
Gaming is a universal way to experience new worlds and find better ways to vent. Any and all should be able to do this.

Sony PlayStation is the best console and if they don't support the disabled then they are going to lose customers and I can respect their choice and who wants a console who doesn't have features for the disabled. Sony you must have these features
This is an outrage! I am hearing impaired and rely solely on text. Fony once again shows its total disregard for the people who buy their products. Well not me, not anymore. I am done with Fony. I will never again buy another thing they make. I dont need them, I will go to PC and/or XboX. Up yours, Fony!

No matter the disability, everyone should have the ability to talk and hear, equal rights for every gamer.
