There's no point running away from this game anymore. It's ambition and creativity was severed by a rushed deadline. You might as well follow through with it properly, by getting together the people responsible and necessary. Could make for an interesting story in the games industry...I'm just saying. Any game can be good, with the right amount of care. Plus, the dedicated following and fan remasters proves this deserves the proper remaster.
This game deserves a remaster and digital release as well as backwards compatibility on Xbox one.
It definitely deserves a second shot. Everything about it was good. Heck, the kissing scene which EVERYONE DESPISES was a complete shout out to Yuji Naka's original concept idea of Sonic the Hedgehog, which I think was a good idea. If there is a remake, the entire story should stay the same, all the bugs and whatnot fixed, and then more should be added onto it. That's just my opinion to this.

I had SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2006 on my xbox 360 and I loved it as a kid and I want it to be remastered so I can enjoy it without any issues
