No living player elected since 2001 ,that is ludicrous. This year past Golden Era Ballot two players fall one vote short. Both of those players, Tony Oilva and Dick Allen are still alive. You would think that perhaps after the vote, the committee would have had a further discussion and put these two players in before they pass away. They both were Great Players and should be in the Hall of Fame.

please rectify the injustice in the last HOF veterans election. Dick Allen should have been elected and Bob Watson allowed to vote. Please revisit this.

It is truly ashame that Gil Hodges has not been given the Honor that truly belongs to him by being installed at Cooperstown at the Baseball Hall oF Fame! His stats are there for the era he played in. It is a long time in coming and will be truly welcomed by Gil's Family, friends and the Many, many Fans who have waited so long!!!!!

The voting process should be fair for all candidates on the Era ballots with no voting limitations and no current or former BBWA members permitted on the committees.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I was with the last Golden Era Committees ‘s inability to elect even one
new Hall of Fame candidate. My frustration is not with the committee members, but with the self-
defeating process that is used, and that almost guarantees no one will be elected. Throw in the lack of
transparency and unwillingness of the HOF to explain the last minute substitution, and it loses so much
of the credibility and honor that should be the hallmark of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Men like Tony
Oliva, Minnie Minoso and Dick Allen are already Hall of Famers in the hearts of their fans. It’s very sad
that the Hall seems to not want to recognize them.
