No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

I understand the need to recycle more, but it's already difficult to manage waste sometimes with a 2 weekly collection. Pushing it to three weeks would make it unacceptable, and the council tax isn't getting any lower.

Disgraceful bins now sometimes hard to manage 2 weeks all depending if got big family etc. All money saving maybe th y should keep bins and cut down on some roadworks

Why is it we seem today more and more for less and less in the way of council services? 3 weekly collections sound like a recipe for all sorts of vermin problems, and possibly​ illnesses relating to poor hygiene.

This would be the worst thing ever, I live in a 1st floor flat no wheelie bin, I struggle now with 1 bin for 2 weeks, if it went to 3 weeks my flat would stink to high heaven!

Totally agree, just encourage more fly tipping. Wake up!!!

3 weeks is far to long.

I have a very big family and struggle for space as it is in our bins doing two wekly

We struggle with fortnightly collections as we have a young family. And I feel it will create worse smells

There's no way our house can go 3 weeks before refuse collection.maybe the council person or persons who are trying to enforce this should apply for a job at NASA cause they're on something and should come back down to earth.

Unhygienic Will encourage vermin

My son is disabled and has continence issues so we need these bins to be changed 2 weekly. What else am I supposed to do with the waste. Terrible idea and totally unfair.

Ridiculous idea, we are a family of 5 and only just manage with fortnightly and we put out 3 recycle boxes a week, keep it the way it is.

2 weekly is a struggle with a family, we recycle what we can as well.

If we get the appropriate cut in council tax then great, but who's going to pay for the time I've to go to the recycling centre in the summer with smelly rubbish, sorry but fortnightly bins need to stay.

We pay out counciltax for all to change to 3 weekly will just cause for trouble fly topping and rubbish every where hasent the council got a brain why change it got family's with lots of children got more rubbish and gardens will end up full.of it which will cause more problems leave it as it is why change it dorset is more up to date then us they have hot 3 but gone one for paper one for glass and one for carboard paper they are so in front of Somerset and the lorrys are so clean and there recycling too puts us to shame

Increase recycling we can do first before changing length of usual bin collections
