As part of the Pickleball community at Teis Park I have been witness to the overcrowding and at times very hazardous conditions due to poor lighting and surface that creates many potential hazards. Our town is coming together with this growing sport and while it’s great to see the courts full it is a potential liability for our town due to outdated and dangerous condition.

Long overdue for the rec department to add legitimate pickleball courts to the town amenities. Platform courts as well.

I have raised my children in Somers. Pickleball is now being taught in schools at all levels. Someday, it will be an Olympic sport! Let’s get with it Somers. Somers has never had a pool. Always because of money. Having Pickleball lines that are shared with tennis’s cost very little!
