We voice our support for an increase in state funding for solowork job creation that would allow multiple programs to run for a minimum of three years. An increase in funding would allow interested communities such as ours to pursue the possibility of a solowork job creation program where it would otherwise be unfeasible.
We believe solowork to be a key component in growing our state and local economy and hope the state of New Mexico will realize its full potential in the years to come.
I know the power of bringing "outside"money into the community. Funding solowork-type projects can benefit rural areas and increase career opportunities for New Mexicans. I urge you to keep the solo worker funding in place and help to revitalize NM's economy.
