Solon Road - objection to placement of cycle hangar

We, the undersigned, object to the proposed location of the cycle hangar on Solon Road, SW2.
To be clear, we do not object to the cycle hangar in principle, but would like to see the location changed to accommodate the needs of all Solon Road residents.
As currently proposed, placing the cycle hangar outside #33 would have the following three significant impacts to residents and property owners:
(i) it would reduce the number of resident car parking spaces on Solon Road; the street is already crowded, and reducing a resident parking space will worsen the situation for those residents who are required to have a car for personal or work purposes.
(ii) it would worsen the vehicle passing congestion (where cars are unable to pass) that has become increasingly problematic over recent times; on at least one occasion the inability for cars to pass has resulted in violence and criminal damage to resident vehicles. This congestion is only ever severe in the street section from about 33 through to about 21; placing a fixed hangar outside #33 would increase the risk of further incidents of this nature.
(iii) having a cycle hangar directly outside a property is likely to detract from the value and aesthetics and could restrict access to the property from vital services such as tradesmen, removal vans and the like who would never be able to park directly outside the property in question.
Our counter proposal is that instead of being located outside #33, the cycle hangar can be placed in one of the "pay and display" car spaces which are currently near the corner of Keplar Road. This location has the following benefits:
(I) does not remove a resident parking space from the street
(ii) is not in the congested zone where passing is already problematic
(iii) is not directly outside any individual residence on Solon Road and so therefore will not block access or reduce the aesthetics for any one property owner.
We believe this counter proposal is a fair and equitable resolution to this issue because it allows the needs of cyclists, resident vehicle owners and property owners to be met, without any unfair disadvantages to these groups.
